I wanted to know if there was a possibility of customizing the template of the folder before opening up a certain file. I own a pro version of screencast.

Hello,
I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. Could you describe the workflow or process you are needing just a bit more?
Perhaps you want to create folders in advance - before you add content to them and want to customize those folders?
If so, you can certainly do that. From your Library view, click Create Folder. From within the Folder screen, add a name and apply the template or create a new template. Then, you can go back and open the folders and add content to them.

Hello,
Thanks for the clarification - I see what you mean now.
I'm sorry, but at this time you cannot change the look of the main Library or these folder pages. Only the content viewing pages can be customized via the templates.
I am going to turn this topic into a feature request.
Thanks,

I'd appreciate it if you included this feature.

I'd like to be able to apply proper branding to the Playlist page, not just the video page.

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to pop in and say that the team is hard at work on evaluating new ways of displaying content. We've been discussing some of the confusion surrounding content management versus content presentation (like why is the Library view even visible to your viewers when it doesn't necessarily have to be?). And we think it's important to begin to separate the organizational aspects of content management from the sharing aspects.
We recognize that we need to improve the customization of not only the display of a single piece of media, but also collections of content. This is important whether it's a collection defined by the content owner (a "playlist"), or a collection of content that's arrived at by some kind of algorithm (related content). And for these so-called "view pages" we think it's easier to comprehend the creation of templates that project your brand. If you're not sharing your storage paradigm with your viewers, this would eliminate the need to apply templates to your Folders per se.
Anyway, these are some of our thoughts. What do you all think?
Cheers,

We are trying to find the area where we can "brand" either the "site" as a whole (obviously within our own account), or to at least be able to "brand" a "folder view". We're trying to direct clients to a "support page" that would have a list of training videos available to them on specific topics. We'd obviously want the client to be able to see the options in a list and click to view those that they're interested in.
So far, I can only figure out how to brand the "viewing area" with our logo. When trying to share an entire folder, it reverts back to the "Screencast.com" logo and colors. Is it ONLY possible to customize the look & feel of the "View Page"?
Thanks,
Mike Ialeggio

I have the same issue. I want to direct clients to an environment they know - and I can use the view page for that, but unfortunately this only works on one file (content) level. If I would want to give them the whole folder, they will end up "screencast.com" logo and colors. All of that has been said already, so I just want to say "Me too".

I'm going to jump on this bandwagon as well.. this would be a really useful feature with screencast.
It's been 5 months, any movement on this one?

We also would love to see this feature soon.
We are using screencast to offer software training videos to our customers. There are several videos for each training, one for each training exercise. So it would be more useful to generate a link to the folder with the content of a specific training, so the customer can select by himself the videos he is interested in, rather than sending links to all videos or just the first video. -

Using a Pro account, we can brand the view screens, but if sharing a folder, the user is first offered a Screencast.com format screen. Is it possible - future development? - to allow the details screens to be controlled in a similar way to the view screen to enhance the user experience
