Camtasia2 Join Cuts and New Transitions/Effects/Plugins? for MAC

Hey there, Two queries. How can I re-merge my cuts without having to use undo? Also are there any user created effects around? Or additional transition plugins, like fading to white or opacity fade between cuts? THANKS

    Hi Simon,

    Thanks for the questions. Unfortunately, Camtasia for Mac can't merge clips or use external transitions or effects.

    However, Camtasia for Mac is flexible enough to allow you to create the effects you listed using.

    For fade to/through white, I just set my background color to white (Edit > Adjust Canvas...) then use a fade in/out transition. You can also put a very large white rectangle annotation behind the clip you're fading.

    I'm assuming by "opacity fade between cuts" you mean cross-fade, right? In an old episode of the Forge I talk about how to do that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6J_C-... (The interface is Camtasia v.1, but everything you do on the timeline is the same for v.2)

    Also, I sometime create custom transitions using animations and drag them to the very front and back of the clips in the timeline.
