Custom Animated Callouts and Multi-video Tracks

I received your newsletter, which is well done. You've been asking for product development feedback, so here's mine:
I use Camtasia (and SnagIt) a lot. I've produced well over 100 videos in the past year.
The biggest request I have is to be able to create custom animated callouts. The standard ones that are available are not that extensive and can't be modified - sometimes you want to animate a perfect circle, not just a hand-drawn one. If there are no resources to create them in house, why not contract with a firm to create a much bigger library to ship with the product or sell separately? Making it possible for users to create their own would open things up immensely.

Second, I am concerned about Camtasia keeping up with other products that are being developed to work online - like Creaza (http://www.creaza.com/movieeditor), which lets users overlay unlimited video and audio tracks. Being able to put more than one video track together in the same frame would be great - allowing users to use animated backgrounds and layered video effects.

Camtasia Studio 8 was just released and we've done a great deal of work to allow you to animate callouts and any other type of media for that matter. Here is a video of me animating a callout over top of a video: http://www.screencast.com/t/CVsvxgpKi

It seems like you wanted to create your own sketch motion callouts as well. And while we don't yet have a way for you to do that, we have included more shapes (including a perfect circle): http://screencast.com/t/56jQjMExLKb

Also! We've now implemented unlimited video tracks and audio tracks (or at least as many as your computer can handle - a lot). http://screencast.com/t/KCWSr6ou

I'd urge you to download it and try it out!
