Does Jing still automatically put a Jing logo on the screen capture? Or is it just a clean capture without any logo?
I am trying to recommend Techsmith products to my clients and am fuzzy on this area concerning Jing and automatic inclusion of the logo on screen captures. Just want to know if it is a clean capture (no Jing logo) or not. Thanks.

1Hi,
There is no watermarking or logo of any kind when you capture an image with Jing.
An exception would be if you send the image to Screencast.com, the web page on which the image is displayed has Jing branding.
Videos created with Jing have a little "Created with Jing" imagery at the very end of the video.
I hope this helps!

1Hi Steve,
The Jing branding appears at the end of any Jing video (not image). The video is contained within a .swf file which plays with Adobe Flash Player. When your video ends, there is some "Get Jing" messaging that appears.
If you share images or videos to Screencast.com via Jing, the webpage that the images and videos are embedded in contain Jing branding and Screencast.com branding.
Here's a video I made with Jing and shared to Screencast.com that you can view to see what it'd look like.

If you wanted to make image captures and screen recordings without branding and share them to Screencast.com, you would have to purchase Snagit and Screencast.com Pro.
If you use your own website, you could get by with just Snagit. (There's a 30-day free trial if you're interested.)
Does this answer your question?

If you wanted to edit the Jing file created in a 3rd party video editor, can you output from Jing anything but a .swf file? Thanks.

1Hi Steve,
No, Jing SWF files can't really be converted with the exception of Camtasia Studio 7.x. Here's a little more information on that: http://feedback.techsmith.com/techsmi...
I should mention that Snagit now creates videos in MP4 format. While Snagit has no video editing capability, you could use these MP4s in just about anything. You can download a trial of Snagit here if you're interested: http://www.techsmith.com/snagit.html
Sincerely,
