How do I close the search pane in Snag-it?
How do I get the search pane to close entirely in Snag it - it is in my way and I don't want it displayed....
-
Hi Christine
You will find a small arrow half way down the left edge of the search pane. Click this and it will slide closed then to open it just click the small arrow again.
Hope this helps -

Dond - this works IF the Search Pane is already docked to the side.
I was looking for some help, as it was hovering around, undocked.
I double-clicked the header & it docked.
Then I could find that arrow.
BUT - that only minimizes the pane; it doesn't CLOSE it, and it doesn't make it go away - which is what I want to do.
I don't use it & don't want it taking up any space.
I can't find it in any options or help.
Is there a way to simply remove the pane from the visible screen, which is I believe, what Christine is also looking for? -

Hi David and Christine,
The solution Dond described is the closest we have for hiding the search pane. There is not a way to completely close it. We do appreciate the feedback and your input that you never use it and do not want to see it.
Thanks,

I hate that I can't remove it entirely either what a pain in the a__. I really hate this taking up precious space. And this wasn't doing this until recently. I must have accidentally upgraded which I wish I hadn't done! PLEASE allow the user to completely remove this stupid pane!!!

A few weeks ago my search pane also started to act indepent of Snagit - this is very irritating. How do I get it to stick to Snagit again?

Hi Karsten
If you double click the search pane top bar it will stick to the side of the main workspace. -
