Jing - best free screen capture software

Jing is the best screen capture software I have ever used! Awesome execution, small things could always be better but the flow and execution is just so... easy. Makes going from designing to sharing my newest creation on forums a snap. Thanks TechSmith!!

    Jing is one of the most innovative programs I have ever used. Kudos to the developers. They use to offer Jing Pro, which gave you the option to record in MP4 video, creating **high quality videos** with small file sizes.

    Now this is my personal opinion. I believe Jing was such a massive success, they had to stop adding features to it, and last Feb 2012 they announced no more support for MP4 video in Feb 2013.

    I don't think we will be seeing any major new features in Jing as I believe it was cutting deep into Techsmith's flagship program, Snagit, which is NOT free.

    Jing is super fast to use, one of the best programs I have ever used. Period!!! I would gladly pay for MP4 support in Jing Pro like I did in the past.

    Will be very sad to see Jing Pro terminated Feb 28 2013:

    I love Techsmith and the people, a company that stands out from the rest. Been a customer since 1999, thats when I first bought Camtasia. But this decision about axing Jing Pro was a mistake, in my opinion.
