Jing wont connect through proxy: A transport method error occurred when calling "Screencast.upload.AppendData". The proxy works perfecly fine everywhere else.
Using Squid3.
I tried to use the Jing.exe.conf method in order to bypass the global settings without success.

I have go through the tutorial help for proxy set up for jing. Still i am facing same problem " There was a problem connecting to the internet.Please check your connection or proxy setting".
Please give me a solution asap.

Hi, same problem here.
Since we started using a transparent proxy (squid) in our network the Jing upload does not work.
As by your article the proxy is configured to allow port 8080 but no help.
We got a network with about 140 clients (desktops, server, mobile) and enabled the proxy 3 weeks ago.
Jing upload is the only known issue since that.
No issues with any other websites
Any help would be appreciated. -

I have squid 3 running on my network as well
only windows machines are able to configure proxy.
can't do it on Mac's
