Hi:
First-time user and testing Camtasia Studio 8 demo. Nothing shows up on the canvas! I have an image track, a screen capture video track, an audio track and a call out track. Audio works fine. There are no visuals on the canvas. I'm completely at a loss.

I most likely don't have the system requirements needed for the canvas to show up.

You're probably on the low end regarding the system requirements ( http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia-sys... ) but I am still surprised there is no canvas/preview window.

Hi Cat,
I was having the same problem. This is what the tech support person told me. The first one solved my problem.
Can you please try disabling GPU acceleration and Hardware acceleration on your computer?
To disable GPU acceleration, open Camtasia Studio, navigate to the file menu Tools-->Options. Uncheck the box that says "Use GPU acceleration if available." http://www.screencast.com/t/k2j6EcaRmh
Then, close out of Camtasia Studio and reopen it to see if it works any better. If not, then please try disabling Hardware Acceleration.
-Close out of Camtasia Studio
- Right-click on the desktop and select Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot.
- Set the Hardware Acceleration slider to none.
Then restart the program and see if that works. -
