1Hi, thanks for the suggestion. What, specifically, would you want to do on the iPad? The details will really help us!
Thanks!

Use Snagit on the iPad. Capture images, manipulate images. The same functionality of Snagit for the Mac, but on an iPad

Is Snagit for iPad available? You don't need ANY editing software. Just to be able to capture pics or videos from an iPad for instructional purposes. Are you planning to release a copy?????

You CAN capture images on the Ipad - Hitting the Home button and the on/off switch at the same time - Use Dropbox for the Ipad to upload to your computer to edit in the Snagit Editor/

I'm interested in this option, but really do not understand the info you provided. Can you elaborate on what happens after you hit the home button and on/off switch? I heard a picture-taking sound, but don't know where the Dropbox is and how to get the screen shot to my PC. Thanks. R.Reaves

Richard, It is the same as print screen button in desktop/laptop but snagit has its own importance. Now a days ipad is use quite often to create presentations and documents on the go (in trains and all) it will be great if I don't have to take a printscreen by home and lock key and then edit and crop it.
I think it is a great idea and can help ipad users to get satisfied. -

Richard,
Thank you for your advice. IT WORKS!!!!!
I'm new to the iPad world and I am still learning. I use Camtasia to create video tutorials for my products and the iPad/iPhone world is a major one for us.
Again, thank you.

Once you have captured your images if you want to do some annotation then you can use Skitch for iPad (poor mans SnagIt) it's capable but nothing on desktop SnagIt. Lets hope that TechSmith have SnagIt for iPad on the way! You can get Skitch here:

I would like to, on Android, perform a "rolling capture", a.k.a. "scrolling capture". I would also like to be able to flip an image, annotate it with arrows, text, circles, and squares, and draw on it with my finger/stylus.

like Richard Campbell mentioned that you can easily capture images from your i pad. all you need to do just go to your i pad's home tab and at the same time just off your device and then on again. and using drop box is a good option.

As so many students are using IPads, (and teachers), it would be extremely beneficial to have SnagIt functionality for the Ipad would be awesome! As a long time SnagIt user, I would happily pay for this alternate version in addition to my PC version. Perhaps you could bundle several TechSmith tools and let your customers pick which they want, cafeteria style. IPad SnagIt would be on my list as a MUST HAVE! :)

Another vote for SnagIt for iPad.
When testing mobile apps at our company, our test teams needs to be able to take screenshots to document proof that functionality was tested (for audit purposes). Since the apps may have a series of screens, managing this through saving files to the Pictures gallery will be very slow and cumbersome for them.
Ideally, they would like to be able to put the screenshot on the clipboard and then paste it into an open document. The document is then saved with the imbedded images to support a test script and becomes the proof needed to satisfy our auditors. -

I would really like to have snagit on my iPad. I've used it for years but it would be very useful to be able to take pictures with my iPad out in the field and edit the photos just like I was back at the office.
I'm sad people have suggested this before and nothing has been made as of yet
There are no apps out there that come close -

When great companies disappear over time it is usually from boneheaded decisions such as still not offering an iPad version of Snagit after all this time. Of course the longer you wait the more competition there will be and the harder it will be to establish yourselves. (And this is from a fan!)
