Ability to re-use styled callouts across projects

I would like to be able to create styles for callouts so that I don't have to assign a special typeface, typestyle, font size, etc. every time I do a callout. It's prone to error.

    Hello Tom,
Thanks for including the fact you are using Camtasia Studio. If you're using version 7, there's a Library feature you may find will help a lot here. The basic idea is you will make your collection of custom callouts and other assets, put them in your Library and then use them across projects.

This tutorial explains how this works. http://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-cam... I hope it meets your needs but it might not be exactly what you were getting at. Please let us know, and keep the feedback coming!

    Sincerely,
    Mike Curtis

    happy I’m thankful
Mike-thanks for answering. You're always amazingly prompt. I dislike having to sit through videos to get a short answer, but I finally did. It's just what I wanted!

Perhaps next time one could reply with an answer something like this?

To save a callout with a style you like:
    * Add the callout to the timeline
    * Style it however you want
    * Right-click it on the timeline
    * Choose Add to Library...

Just a thought. Much as I love video as a teaching/learning medium, sometimes those outmoded word things can do better!

    Cheers,

    Thanks Tom!

I like your feedback and see your point. I often think that whoever really figures out how to make video less expensive (time consuming and uncertain as to whether the time investment will pay off) and can weave in a text alternative for those that like to scan/read is going to be doing pretty well.

We've made some progress at TechSmith, but I like this challenge and your feedback is a good reminder/motivator.

Good luck with your videos Tom--we'll be here!
