With multiple tracks in one project, sometimes you want to disable one without deleting it just to test the outcome or finished product. Track activation allows you to temporarily disable/activate tracks. It can be as easy as a check-mark or green light on the far left side of the track. Clicking on it toggles the state. This allows you to also create more than one finished product from a group of tracks (video, transitions, sound, pictures, etc).
Example: you have 6 tracks and your not sure of which song or arrangement to keep. Instead of deleting a track that you spent time aligning and inserting into your project, you just temporarily turn it off.
This would be very easy for the TechSmith developers to implement. But, you the community have to claim here that it is a good idea and might come in handy for your work. This feature is typically found on more expensive products like Adobe Premier Pro.

It should be for both Camtasia and Mac, even though I use Camtasia.
I know this is a duplicate. I wanted to change the title to simplify, but that capability here does not exist. Since there was no way to do it I created a new topic. -
