Update question Windows 7

Check for updates says 7.1 is available - but I HAVE 7.1. What is going on? Do I need to download 7.1 again?

    Hello Donna. What Build Version is your Camtasia Studio 7.1? The latest Build Number is 1785 (January 13, 2011). It could be that it is wanting you to update the software to the latest build. There is no charge for this update if that is the problem. Let us know and thanks for posting your question here.

    Keep in mind if this is the case then you might want to backup (export) anything you have in your Library and Callouts, etc. before upgrading just for a safe measure.

    The current build on the website is Camtasia Studio 7.1.1 (Build 1785). This is a free update, and recommended for anyone with an earlier version of Camtasia Studio 7. You can check to see what version you currently have by using the Help > About Camtasia Studio menu.

    To install the free update, simply download and run the installer. You do not need to uninstall your previous version before installing. The installer will detect the previous version and will simply apply the update without removing any user settings.
