I want to crop images in circles and fade the edges.
Is this possible using SnagIT?
Using SnagIT, can I crop captures in shapes such as ovals or circles?

There's a whole secret society of people using Snagit for crop circles...but I can't post about that here. ;-)
Snagit does have the ability to create a circular selection, and you can then copy and paste into a new document. I'm not sure about fading the edges, though.
Kelly Mullins made a great tutorial that will get you started in the right direction. And she may have some ideas on using fade with circles.
Sounds like a fun project...maybe you can share some images when you're finished!Comment -

Hi Daniel, landed on this page via google. I'm using Snagit Version 2 for Mac and want to capture a circle. Kelly's tutorial listed above goes to a 404 page. Any ideas? -

You can't select the circle outright during the capture. Thank you for mentioning you are on Mac.
I made a little video showing how you can use the selection tool in the editor to achieve the effect.
