After 2 months, Camtasia 9 persistently crashes after 5 minutes of recording. I contact Tech Support and got a technician to post with a question. When I answer the question, I don't hear a word back. And the issue was considered "solved". That's sad. Solved is Uninstalled... and look for alternatives. A $200 lesson folks.

That is bad. I have dealt with that issue from another company a few years ago.
If it is crashing on you, then you need to check the Event Viewer (Windows) in MAC, I am uncertain where to check.

If in Windows.
Control Panel | Administrator Tools | Event Viewer
(Windows 10) Right Click Start Menu | Event Viewer
Left Panel | Windows Logs | Applications

You will want to find anything that shows a RED Exclamation point.
And see if any of them are about Camtasia.

Since I have never experienced that issue, I am wanting  to say that:
Your OS is causing the issue, (Check if other programs are having a problem running stable)
Hardware Issues (Might want to run a stress test on your system and see if it passes)

But yeah, Techsmith should be ashamed of themselves for doing this to you.
That is really bad business.
