This is a new one. Snagit 2018.1.2 (90438) on MacOS 10.13.4.
In the Snagit Library, when I press space for "Quicklook" (I guess Apple's cool guy name for view?), the new window that pops up is now displayed on all desktops - I don't think I've seen that before. Meaning, when I 3-finger swipe left or right, the Snagit quicklook/preview window is visible on all of my desktops. If the other desktop has a window open, the Snagit window shows for an instant and then goes behind the other window, but I can still see it if the other (foreground) window isn't maximized, and I can see it on the other desktops if I go to "Mission Control". I can even select the Snagit quicklook/preview window on other desktops and move it around.

Is this new? There's no way this is intentional, right?

Hi,

This happens when I use QuickLook from Finder as well, so it appears to be system-wide behavior. We might be able to detect a desktop switch and close it manually though, I'll look into that.

Well, consider my mind blown. I opened "quicklook" (didn't realize that was a thing) on a file in Finder, switched desktops and it conveniently showed on all desktops, but also hid the quicklook window *behind* any window that was open on the other desktops.

Mac is just next level bonkers. How can that possibly be useful?

Anyway, I withdraw my complaint about Snagit quicklook - I'm guessing you're using an OS API so the functionality will be the same as Finder. I wouldn't want you spending your developer resources on this - much better to scan new images on a background thread so I don't have to wait 2-3 minutes when I open the Snagit editor before I can actually use it.
