Why is MP3 is no longer an output option.  My LMS system (Brainshark)  will only take MP3 so I have to create files from Camtasia and then convert them with a cheap 3p MP3 toos.   SILLY.

Mp3 was dropped with Camtasia 9 forward.

You can get more about it here in this thread

It may be re-instated but if and when ???

The best you can do now is to run your videos through a program like Handbrake or you could also download and install Camtasia 8 (8.6 was the last version for Camtasia 8) which still had the mp3 option.

if you are using a newer version that license key will work for Camtasia 8 and it can/will install side by side with your newer version.

You can download 8 here is you so choose.

I agree with you. Techmith team never think that the output files created will be used in other environments that require most of the time mp3 file format.

We don't create file for funny to be used or opened in camtasia, but we create them for personal or business purposes where the compatibility and the interoperability is an important factor.
