"Snagit 13" Tag Indexing is Great. The Ability to Copy Tags From One Image to Another is GONE! ;(

I use Snagit mainly in a technical situation, to document configurations, problems and solutions.  Tags are the only way I can locate an existing well documented image based solution.

Prior to Snagit 13, the UI made tags available in a large text field and they could be copied and then applied to several images at once if they were selected in the library.  Thus I could find and old set of images related to specific topic, and if I had new image addition to this topic this copy paste method was efficient - in a way I could not imagine better.

Now in Snagit 13, no ability to copy and paste/transfer tags from one image to others exist.  Please realize how many people find tags indispensible, and as tagging is for the detail oriented folks (lost and helpless geeks), tagging is an tedious endeavor in the first place that the current system - virtually destroys (in other words to maintain the level of tagging that is appropriate for me work, I need to invest about 5 times more effort than before).

On the positive side tag searching now, finally seems stable, and productive.

I agree it would be cool to be able to right-click on a image and have a option to copy just the tag(s) . To go a step farther, list the tags in the details info and/or show the tags on hover of a image.

The way it is now is a hassle just to check or remember what tags a image may have.

In case you didn't know you can tag multiple images in the library

1. Select your images
2. Click on Tag at the bottom and then in the popup click on a existing tag or create a new one.
All your selected images will then be tagged.

If you want to tag a new image/capture while in the Editor

Click on Tag at the bottom and in the popup select a existing  tag or create a new one.

Good to hear your comments.  I agree it would be good to see the tags assigned to am image on dedicated screen space.  Versions 12 and lower did offer something in this regard.

Yes I was aware of the tag, and multiple image tagging from the library.

Just yesterday, I submitted and it was confirmed a related bug.  Following any of the tag addition methods you have described - the tag addition control acts like any auto-complete search - that filters down your list of available tags.

At this point it seems logical that you could use the up/down arrows (selection) and <enter> to add tags to the image - not an option.  But what is an option it to click an available tag.  Clicking an available tag works if you have not starting typing a tag(filtering the list)  But if you have started typing a tag(filtering the list), and then click an available tag, it incorrectly adds the filter stem you have typed.  Not the tag you have selected
