"sort by name" tool in the Camtasia Media Bin

Hi there. I find the "sort by name" tool in the Camtasia Media Bin to be very frustrating. I have a series of plots exported from a program with sequential numbering as part of the name. This should be easy to sort, but no because it sorts by digits (plot-1, plot-10, plot-11, ... plot-2, plot-20, ...) and not by numbers (plot-1, plot-2, plot-3, ... plot-99, plot-100). I also tried to sort by date and it get gets partly there but breaks the list into two sets of ordered files (1-35 and 36-60).

This last option would be OK if I could select files by dragging the mouse mid-list or from the top-down (this only works bottom-up as there's space below the file list) - or better yet - if I could use SHIFT+ mouse to select multiple files. As it is I have to use CTRL + mouse clicking on each file. That's a lot of needless clicking. Maybe this has improved in 2018 version - but didn't see it in any new features list.

Thanks!
Dave

it's the same in 2018

best workaround is to make the naming schema use numbers like plot-001, plot-002, plot-003, etc

but I feel your pain

Wow, I was just dealing with this same issue today. I hope Techsmith will devote some resources on the Media Bin's interface.
