"video capture terminated"

SnagIt versjon 13.1.0:
When I try to video capture the following message appear: Video capture terminated unexpectedly. The video recorder returned error 0x80004005.

I have the same error too...  only since I have installed the last version.

At least you get an error message! For me, any kind of capture - especially Video or All-in-One - usually does absolutely nothing. I mean literally nothing happens, no error, and it just doesn't do anything. Sometimes it appears to be starting and working but it often just stops and there's no capture. For image captures outside Snagit I usually end up using Snipping Tool.

WOW.... I cannot beleive this message.  Again "YES' I have tried this, and it didint work.

My apologies, I did not see in this thread where you stated that you tried the steps listed in that article.

Have you opened a support ticket with our actual Technical Support team? We have not seen a case where the steps listed in that support article have not addressed the issue so having an open ticket will allow us to look into any additional issues.

When I unchecked th Web Cam option, it fixe the bug I had!
