10 Second Delay for Capture in SnagIt

I have been using SnagIt for years and, last night, when I was trying to write up some instructions on a Microsoft Excel spread sheet I had put together, I could not work out how to snag a small window that wanted to close everytime I moved the cursor away from Excel to activate SnagIt.

Then I found the 10 second delay function in One Click - it worked an absolute treat.

Hi Anne!

Thanks so much for sharing! Isn't that a handy feature?? So glad it worked out for you and you were able to catch that pesky window! :)

Please let us know if you have any feedback on how we could make the product work even better for you.

Thank you!

Hi Jessie. I need to use this option too, but can't seem to find it. (I have the Snagit window with the red button on top of my screen.) Could you please provide (either directly, or via a link) step-by-step instructions on how to capture a pulldown menu that does not stay on the screen? Thanks.

Hi Steve,

Here's a screencast that shows how to do that with Snagit 11:  http://www.screencast.com/t/gdBd7vVGq

Hope this helps.

I want to do something similar with the 10-second delay but I want to capture a whole window and not just the menu on which my mouse is focused. This is just a submenu but I want the parent as well captured in the same image. How can i change the behavior of this image capture to suit my needs?
