2 versions of camtasia

2 versions of camtasia... 2019 and 2020. Can I delete 2019 so I only have one version. I think it would be okay as I did the same with snagit.

Yes you are able to do that.

I would export any assets from the library you may have added or want before deletion.

You can but I would not....  my rule is to always keep the newest version and the next newest version working "just in case".  You never know when some change it the updated version can cause you pain... being able to fall back if you need to is very comforting... not everyone will agree with this approach but it has worked well for me

I have every version since Camtasia 8, installed side by side

one advantage of having an earlier version available is the ability to use an earlier Recorder to capture doing stuff with the current Recorder

This. Or just using camtasia to record Camtasia. In your experience, Kayakman, is the same true for Snagit (e.g., using Snagit 2019 to take a screenshot of Snagit 2020?)

no idea; never tried

but you should be able to set Snagit to stay open [Editor] when you do a screenshot, so you can get the editor UI

guess you could always use Camtasia Recorder to grab Snagit, then save out a frame?
