2018 Recorder not working then freezes studio

Whoops. I upgraded to 2018. Mistake. I should have let everyone else work out the bugs. So what's happening is I start a recording and it then stop it. It does not give me any option to save to a file location, just quits. If it recorded, I can not locate the file.

If I try opening Studio first then clicking the Record button, the recording sets up fine, with Studio being minimized, and when I stop the recording, no option for where to save, it brings Studio back up full screen and it's completely frozen. 

Not exactly the enhancements I was looking for. Hoping I can reinstall 9.

Hi John;

Camtasia 2018's Recorder by default saves to Documents\Camtasia\ so your TREC files should be located there. Note that you can change the behavior of the Recorder once recording has finished by clicking on Record and in the toolbar go to Tools - Options then in the window that appears click on the Program tab and you can disable the "Hide Preview Window after recording is stopped" and/or change what happens with the recording.
