Great point Rick,

So l_raath .
As it turns out, all video added to the Camtasia timeline is converted to 30fps and there's nothing you can do about it.I just tested for it and can confirm it.

Record the screen at 30fps without the other video.
Then, brought that 24fps video into Camtasia and added it to the timeline. Use it as a  picture in picture effect it might help but I wouldn't count on it.

I've always known 60fps footage was down-sampled to 30fps.
I didn't realize it up-sampled frame rates to 30fps as well.

Frankly, it's kind of ridiculous from my stand point.
Not only does it pretty much guarantee choppy video output.The conversion process must slow rendering times as well.

If you come up with a setting or process that works/ Or nothing works.

Please post back with your results.
