With the latest update that came out the other day, I experience problem that 4K video renders appears to be abit laggy, like if they have lower framerates, it only appears on 4K contents and not on sections that were recorded in 1080p. Here is an example video I made yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPl-UiVDU1U were I experience the laggy problem from 0:20 onwards. THe previos video I rendered the day Before (sunday) were of a better result after rendering: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiU3nr3e3zc
Both videos were exported in 3840x2160 @ 25 FPS, wich is the standard my 4K camera records in at 4K mode. the source files on both videos are fine so I don't suspect any errors with them.

Increasing the keyframe to 10 made the laggy video less laggy compared to render it with 5 keyframes.

also, when I select add/edit preset, the software crashes altogether, with no error messages...

Hi Summeradde,

What are  your projects settings? Do you have it set to 30 fps? I notice that the render you have it set to 30 fps, which is what you want. I started noticing Camtasia freezing up on me this morning for my morning video until it finally crashed. I did two things to resolve this issue.
1- I started a new project from scratch, i had to re-input my project settings, but I didn't minded at all.
2- Instead of dragging the video directly into the timeline, I clicked the + symbol under media and selected the video, then I dragged it into the timeline. This solved my issues.

I've been using one video sort of like a template, so I just keep re-saving it, but it was up until today that I started to see this issue. Before you ask, yup, I installed the same update you're talking about.  I noticed that after the update, my render time increased. It's going as lot slower than before, but as long as the video result doesn't have any issues, I'm ok. If  you're curious, here's this morning 4k render at 60 fps. Be warned, it's in Spanish.

So, summeradde

Version 2018.0.2 (Build 3634).exe should still be in your "Downloads" folder. I would uninstall the latest version and install build 3634.
You should have other versions of Camtasia available.Depending upon how long you've been using Camtasia. You can hover over the Icon in Icon view to see what version is what.
The exe's all all named the same. If you use a different file mode, you know what to do.

Thanks y'all. Turned out only that particular video had the problem. Other 4K videos rendered as normal, so I am thinking something is wrong with that video file itself.
