Thank you for the recent 8.0.3 update. I just started using Camtasia 8 last week (from 7) and my three biggest complaints have been fixed in this latest update (variable for extend frame, shift + wheel to scroll timeline, and mirror audio waveform). Thanks for paying attention to our feedback and for a great product!

On the mirroring, which I do like, there's an issue if you're doing precise editing based on audio after the cut. The thumbnail that appears covers up the audio waveform so it's difficult to see where the playhead is for the next cut. Is there a setting that I'm missing where one can turn off the cut thumbnails in the program?

Stephen - thanks for stopping by to say such kind words! We appreciate it.

John - Let me check on that for you and try to get an answer.

There is no way to hide the thumbnail, except by hovering the mouse over it. One option would be to hover the mouse over the thumbnail to fade it out, and use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the playhead left or right one frame at a time to position it correctly. We can look at adding an option to hide the thumbnails in a future release, but no guarantees. If you could create a new topic for that request, we could appreciate it. it will probably not get much visibility under this post because the subject isn't related. Thanks for your time John!

Thanks. It's fine, I simply won't use the mirroring feature and can edit fine that way, but I will add it as a feature request where either the thumbnails can be turned off or they reposition to the top or bottom out of the way of the fine detail of the audio waveform.
