"Unable to create thumbnail image for the file"

Whenever I try to add music to my videos I continually get "unable to create thumbnail image for the file". The files are all MP3's, they have no thumbnail image in which to display so I don't understand what the issue is. Any ideas what the issue could be.

after you click past the message, do the music files work OK in projects?

No the music cannot even be added to the clip bin. It doesn't allow me to put the music into the theater at all.

If that's the case, the MP3s may not be supported in Camtasia Studio. Where did the files come from?

For quickest help with this, you should log a new case with tech support; they should be able to identify the problem.

I am having the same problem with some files. Most files work but some don't. All files are from the same source. All files are MP3's. All of the files work in windows media player. Looks like the last post was 10 months ago and I still don't see a solution. :(

I get:
Unable to create thumbnail image for the file (filename.mp3). Unknown media type. This file may not be supported.
