"Video Capture Failed"

I have the new SnagIt 2.0 for Mac... but after recording one video and wanting to use it again, I get the message "Video Capture Failed"

The only way to fix it is to close SnagIt and open it again. But after I record each video, I have to close and re-open. This is definitely a bug :(

I get the same "Video Capture Failed" pop-up immediately once I click the record button after defining my record area. HOWEVER, I cannot get past it by closing and reopening SnagIt. I'm on Mac OSX 10.7.3 and installed SnagIt 2.0 for Mac as an "upgrade" from Jing Pro. Please help!

I have the exact same problem. I get the error, then I close it and try again, and it usually pops up again. After 3 or 4 times of closing the error box and starting the video capture again it usually works. Very frustrating though!

Same exact problem, except that I cannot ever get it to work. Essentially renders the product worthless. Extremely frustrating. Where is the patch for this?

MAC: OSX 10.7.3 8GB RAM

Disappointing that there is no response from TechSmith. Same problem here. I went to their FAQs and only find answer responding to scrolling video, not this problem.
