A few of the new features we have added are as follows:

Create an Animated GIF from Video.

Though video is growing in widespread acceptance, animated GIFs have taken the digital world by storm these past few years. Their popularity may stem from the fact that they are a common format for casual communication among co-workers or friends, their importance for illustrating a news story, tutorial, support article or blog post cannot be discounted. Being instantly consumable by the fact they do not hide behind the tradition “play” button that is found with online video, animated GIFs can be embedded and shared easily while providing a solution for when a static image is just not enough and video is just too much.GIFs are incredibly easy create in the latest release of Snagit; simply record a short video and either convert the entire video to an animated GIF, or select an area in the video with our updated selection function, and choose to create GIF from selection. Simple as that!

Connect with your viewers on a more personal level by recording your Webcam.

Camera recordings add a very human and personal element to your video which enables you to better communicate important ideas, avoid misunderstanding, and to bring people separated by time or distance closer together. Numerous services like Google Hangouts, Skype and FaceTime have brought video communication into the mainstream and Snagit now joins their vaunted ranks by allowing you to easily record content, including content captured through your webcam, and quickly share it your audience.

Webcam recordings are not solely under the wing of personal communications though, as camera video also serves many purposes in a business setting. Whether that is for advocacy, humanization of a brand, or simply a way for remote teams to communicate effectively, camera video is growing as a preferred method of communication and Snagit can deliver it!

Panoramic Image Capture
In today’s ever-shifting digital world, users have a need to capture more than is on a single screen. In years past, Snagit has offered a number of scrolling capture methods; from the All-in-One scrolling capture function to custom scrolling to scrolling windows. With Snagit 13/4 we introduce a new, more user-friendly method of capturing content that is larger than your screen. Enter the Panoramic Capture Method https://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-snagit-13-panoramic-capture.html. Revolutionary in its simplicity, the Panoramic Capture Method gives you control.
