Add basic choices to the 'upload to screencast' option in the Camtasia Production Wizard. Nothing like bitrates. More like open/closed captions, changing the description, customizing the display title so that it can include ? and / and other symbols that can't be in file names.

Youtube offers a lot of these options. I don't like using Youtube, because the screencast interface and streaming is better. However I recently made a video with ADA capable captions. I can't change them from closed to open captions, nor can I make them not searchable. So whenever I try to share this video, it ends up smushed into about 50% of the space, with the left third of the screen being taken up by a non-closable search window.

Yes if you don't click or hover, the window goes away after 3-4 seconds, but most of the time the viewer just spends the whole video trying to click away the search box. They can drag it around, but they can't get rid of it. I just want my patrons to be able to watch my video!

Hi Jean, we have a lot of those options here http://screencast.com/t/e69Gba5IQ3 if you choose "Custom Production Settings" when you get to the production wizard. You will want to make sure that "Table of Contents" and "Searchability" is turned off.

Thanks for the response Dave!

I was working with Jean in Support and I think I may have led her astray as I was locked in with the Share to Screencast.com output and completely forgot about configuring it in custom production settings.

Jean: Sorry for the confusion. Using the steps Dave described above should accomplish what you're looking for.

Hi Jean!

Our latest release of Camtasia Studio (version 8.0.0) now includes the following basic custom production options in the Screencast.com plugin:

- Captions
- Table of Contents
- Searchability
- Quizzing
- Video End Actions (Loop, Jump to URL, Stop, Stop with Replay Button)

We still have the more advanced Audio/Video options available but the defaults should be set in a way that most users will be happy with them.

Let me know if you have any questions.
