Ability to Sort Recent Captures Tray

Some of us work with a lot of different captures at a given time, and use the Recent Captures Tray as a kind of worklist for current projects. Formerly, the captures that I most recently edited or saved were sorted at the top or left of the tray. At some point, however, the tray reverted to sorting by creation date only. So a capture that I began work on last week will gradually drop off to th right of the tray, even if I save the file with my changes. The only way to get a capture to move to the top is Save As, which updates the create date of the file.

In the Library, you are able to sort your recent captures by create or modified date, but this doesn't apply to the Recent Captures Tray.

Currently using SnagIt 13.1 which adds some cool features, but retains previous bugs and/or regresses formerly preferable behavior.

I agree - this has made using Snag It recent captures a little more clunky that it used to be - and is only one of the regressive things that have occured with the new update - I am all for the new improvements love the magic wand but really am upset that I can't do a scrolling window capture successfully any more. Hopefully it will come back along with an improved recents window -

I would agree with both of you. There are some nice new features in the newest version of SnagIt 13 but then again there is always room for improvement. I also miss the way Scrolling Windows used to be and the ability to copy text which I use the old way now to do that anyway.

But when it comes to scrolling window captures it would be great if there was a way that per-se you wanted a web-page with a long scroll to go out to your MS Word it would line the pages up without breaking them and have a way to have them to fir the page width that is setup in your current Word Document. Not even sure if that is possible but it is a nice feature that if could be done I am sure a lot of users would love. Thanks for sharing your posts Randy and Richard and your feedback. I had to share mine too as you two made great points. Have a great day/night. :)

Bump. This feature regression persists in the current release with no workaround.
