Snagit 2018: How should I abort or cancel a capture once the crosshairs are on the screen. "Esc" appears to do nothing. It seems right clicking works, but I'd like to know the correct way to abort a capture.

I have a preset image capture set to a hotkey and it copies to the clipboard. Similar to Snipper only better. When I launch the preset, I can exit with a single esc so long as I haven't moved the mouse at all, regardless of whether I have the left mouse click pressed.

If I begin to outline an area, then I see that the first esc un-selects the area. The "clean" cross hairs can then be used to select a different area. This is actually a good feature to know.

The second esc, then aborts the entire capture. I like the way it works with two escapes.
