Account Emails Problems

I own both Snagit and Camtasia. I get emails on two separate accounts. I am receiving emails regarding updates to the software, newsletters, etc., to one account (secondary), yet I get customer service emails to another account (primary) including when I purchase a product. However, when I log into the account with my primary account, I do not see my secondary email account listed at all. I have no idea why that account is listed, but it scares me that this account could be changed, as it is a business account, and I could lose all those messages and new ones. For some reason I also get messages related to new releases.

I have no idea how to resolve this, since I do not have access to change that email, yet I need to make sure that my purchases are under the correct account. I tried contacting TechSmith one before, but there was no feedback on my question. Any suggestions? Again, my concern is that if that secondary account goes dead, I would be missing newsletters, notifications to updates, etc. Because I won those two programs, and I also purchased the maintenance agreement for "free" updates, it scares me a little. I don't want to lose those in the confusion.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi PCViper,

You can get on the mailing list without actually having an account. This could happen if you purchased or registered with your other email address. You should be able to unsubscribe with your other email address at this page: https://www.techsmith.com/emailpreferences

Make sure that you're signed out of techsmith.com before you visit that page, or use the incognito functionality built into your web browser.

If that doesn't work, please open a ticket at https://support.techsmith.com. Include both email addresses in the ticket and which one you'd like to have unsubscribed, and they should be able to help you out.

Sorry for any trouble,
Glenn

That is a great answer Glenn and thanks for sharing as I know a few others who have also asked this question in the past. Have a great day/night.

Thanks Glenn - my concern is that I am receiving important emails there, such as new updates to software. How do I make sure not to lose those emails? I don't see anywhere where I can update email notifications. Also, I need to make sure both pieces of software are registered under the correct email. Makes sense?

Thanks.

If you enter any email address you can opt-in or opt-out of whichever emails you want.

Here's a screenshot of what the page looks like once you enter your email address. (It might look a little different if you have active product trials).

The checkbox I drew the red rectangle around is the one you want to have checked for product release notifications.
