Hi! I'm Roger (That's me in the picture ... ummmm I'm the one on the right, without the fur coat :). I live in beautiful, sunny Queensland Australia, only an hour from the world famous Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise.
Many years ago, I become an accountant. Not one of those boring old ones that does tax and auditing (apologies to my colleagues). No, I wanted to make a difference to my clients' businesses and my main focus was and still is to help them to manage their time, interact effectively with people, manage their cash and grow their businesses to achieve their dreams.
I have found this to be a very satisfying career even if it doesn't make as much money for me as finding tax loopholes for big companies. I find myself dealing with small to medium businesses with the technical skills of the owners in their trades and professions, not in marketing, leading their teams or building a business.
The marvelous tool I found, is Camtasia. I have only used the free trial so far but I have been able to build some video tutorials to help my clients to understand how to do things better. I can create this knowledge once in a video format and instead of having to repeat this task each time with a new client, referring to notes and making sure that I don't miss anything, all I have to do is give them the link to the training video at no charge as my service to them.
The result is that they can learn to manage their time, their people, their cash and business growth so much faster. I have already had several asking me what this marvelous product is. I am always happy to tell them and I look forward to learning lots of new ways to use Camtasia to help my clients and various charities with whom I work to do a great job.
I have also been using Jing for over a year now and that was great to show screen shots of how to do things, particularly with my not-for-profit "pro bono" clients where while I would love to give them a lot more time, reality requires that I focus most of my time to fee-paying work. Jing has allowed me to speed up my communications and explanations and now with Camtasia, I can do even more, faster for these wonderful people.
The picture by the way, was taken when I was doing some CFO work in Johannesburg, South Africa. My friend is a 6 month old white lioness. Isn't she beautiful?
