Allow to create custom horizontal and vertical guide lines in SnagIt Editor that I can use to precisely align elements. When I create or move an item, have it attach to guide lines when it comes close to it (as if magnetic).
For example, if I want to mock up a new screen from a screen shot of an existing screen, such guide lines would make it much easier to align new labels, fields, and other screen elements with existing ones.

Hi ww,

We do have the Pixel Grid feature in Snagit Windows. You can enable this option in your Snagit Editor, here:

Hopefully this helps you out.

Our Product Managers are avid readers of this forum, so they will see this request for Snagit Mac.

Thanks,
Becky

The Pixel Grid is only available at zoom levels of 600 and above which is pretty unhandy to work with, as you only see a small part of the screen.

It also affects the whole image and adds an awful lot of lines, none of which stick out from the others.

So I don't find it a very usable feature and certainly not a replacement for user set guide lines which you put exactly where you want them and which attract the objects that come close to them.

I'd like a set of guidelines as well in the editor and a ruler. However, it is possible to line up objects by selecting them and then right clicking.

Manny, thanks for pointing out this option, I wasn't aware of it and it is helpful.

It doesn't seem to work when I just move or copy a region of a screenshot, as I don't create a new object in that case.
