I'm trying to move my screencast down on the timeline so it allows for the intros of a lower third and a music clip.......... it seems when I slide it left, it cuts off the beginning of the screencast. I have n't been able to locate any information on how to accomplish this.

Hi,

There are a few ways you can do this. Using Shift and playhead seems to move the content but splits the media like you say, is this the way you tried? It could be a potential bug. You can make a selection with the playhead, selecting the duration for the space you need, then right click and select 'Insert time' this will move everything to the right and works fine in my example. Alternatively, you can select all and click the media with the mouse and drag along timeline.

Hope one of these works for you.

Thank you Jayne...  I appreciate your suggestions!  I think things have been a little clunky while I'm learning to do some new things in Camtasia....like inserting time for instance!  Thank you again!  Have a great day!!
