When adding a text box with all the stylilng you desire, it saves only the box info, and does not save the font style or font color.

AFAIK it never did, regretfully so! Once you have selected your own style, e.g. a text-box with Arial 10 font. which you once have saved like that, but you change that to -say- Arial 12 bold, when you create a new textbox, the font will be as the last one used, i.e. Arial 12 bold, you need to change it back to the initial font.
That was also in v11.x

You don't need to actually "Revert" anything. There is a somewhat "less than intuitive" workflow when working with quick styles.

What you do need to do when you have changed the properties of a quick style is this. Click outside of the text box, callout, etc. This will make it inactive.

Go back to the menu and select the quick style you wish to apply. That quick style will be applied with all of it's saved settings.

Saving the "Last Used" font color, size,  style,  "Can Be" a good feature if you make changes to an applied quick style. Then, you can apply a lot of consistent and matching text boxes, callouts, etc.  to the same document without the need for changes.

This is the same any SnagIt  feature that allows you to save it as a quick style.

It is also a feature that I would like to be able to shut off.

Regards, Joe

Thanks!
I am not sure whether what I am doing is exactly the way you have in mind.

In 'Styles' I have added a few styles myself, select one style, change the font, and then create another textblock - in which case the last fontsize/type will be used.

probably, what I want isn't possible right now.

Note that I am using v11.3 (!)

regretfully I am not sure if this is fixed in v12.x, meaning to say that once clicked outside the textbox, the last use font is  -not-  remembered, i.e. so contrary to v11.x

After you clicked outside the Box.
You Must Re-Select the Quick Style  from the Quick Style menu First. Then apply a new Text Box.
Did you try that???

Thanks.
Eh . . . ?
I confess, it's me alright, but eh .. I am not sure how to proceed. I tried over and over.

Tried to upload a video about the steps.
Then I must use YouTube or some other provider that I am not acquainted with.
(Photobucket is not supported)

Forget it.
It is not worth spending so much time on.

Thank you so much for trying to be of assistance!
I truly appreciate this Joe, I really do...
