Adding Transcript to the bottom of a video

I have a professionally created video and the transcript.

I've been tasked with adding the transcript to the bottom of the video.

Never done this before...

I squished the video up a wee bit and used "callouts - text" and moved
them down to beneath the video.

This was extremely time consuming for the first.. not so bad for ones
to follow.

Is there a faster way to do this?  I had to move the callout from the
centre of the screen and stretch/position it beneath the video - for
each one ;(
thanks

Normally that's what the Captioning feature is used for. Have you looked into that?

Here's a TechSmith blog describing it.

Cheers... Rick :)

Hi Rick... thank you ... didn't know about captions ;)

I pasted my script into Camtasia.  Not seeing any way to get the script to stretch out along the bottom of the video... it always wants to be in two lines... I need it to be single line only???  thank you  (camtasia 8.6)

Pretty much, yes. There are a few minor differences, but mostly the same.
