Please support google drive as a destination in snagit for video and image publishing. And ideally if we can get a video or image to be added into an existing google doc, that will help a lot. Thanks

Hey guys,

Thanks for the feedback! I, personally, love the idea. Make sure you let your Snagit using friends and colleagues know about this thread, so they can come +1 it as well!

I second this emotion!

Should be able to publish to all the main cloud drives, so:

Dropbox
Google Drive
Box

Google Drive is my hard-drive-in-the-cloud. I realize you want people to upload their captures to screencast.com, but maybe you could make GDrive integration a pro feature. I would pay for it...

Just make it a feature.  We use Drive throughout my business.  Please also integrate Google Photos as well.

I live in Google Drive and Wordpress.
While Snagit is definitely a powerful desktop tool, please remain relevant by offering more cloud based connectivity in two areas:

1. Save to cloud (google, wordpress (self hosted),etc.)
2. Sync settings to cloud (like Firefox Sync) - allow storing settings and stamps online and allow login via FB, Google, etc. so that we can run snagit from multiple machines and keep our settings in one place.

Thanks

Greetings TechSmith!

I've long been a (paid) SnagIt user and am very pleased with the product. However, recently I've come to realize there is a large shortcoming of the SnagIt product that I think would be a great feature to add.

With so many people using syncing tools like Microsoft SkyDrive and Google Drive, it would really be great if there were a way to sync our SnagIt capture libraries across multiple systems using one of these tools.

I've looked into this ability but it appears that the way the SnagIt database is designed, even if you sync the database itself across systems, unless you manually import it each and every time, other systems are not aware of new screenshots as they're taken.

If you could find a way to do this before any of your competition does (I haven't found any others that do this either) I think you'd find a fair return on your investment.

Thanks again for the great product.

This is a great conversation that's separate from the main topic, so I created a new topic to continue the discussion. Please reference the new topic here: Sync through Skydrive, Google Drive, etc.

If you feel they're best combined that is fine. I just wanted to make sure that what I was suggesting was actually something different than what this thread was suggesting.

I think the idea I'm talking about here is different than the topic you've merged this with.

My suggestion is to have the screen capture database be synced with SkyDrive - meaning the captures as they're captured, not necessarily saved (I don't save the majority as I leave them in the database!).

The proposal here seems to be adding an option to publish pictures to these sync tools which is not the same thing.

Hey there, I can separate it again. My intent was to bring as much attention to Google Drive integration, either as a publishing destination, or a syncing tool. I would love to see the integration with google drive or any similar tools as well.
