Adding javascript to the end of the movie

We have produced some videos in Camtasia 8 that launch inside a new HTML page when a link is clicked. We want some way of closing the HTML page when the movie finishes. We currently have a button with some JavaScript attached to it to fulfill this need.

However we'd like the Javascript to be integral to the movie itself. We've looked at hotspot callouts but it does not appear that javascript can be added to them. Can you please confirm this is the case or whether there is another way we can achieve the required results.

Thanks for advance.

Hey there,

We used to have this feature in an older version of Camtasia, but it was removed. I'm not 100 percent sure on the reason, but I can look into it! Sorry about the frustration.

Thanks for coming back to me. It is a shame that functionality was removed. JavaScript can be useful in certain scenarios.
