Adding Markers while Recording in Mac version

I was told by your tech support to make a request for a feature in the Mac version of your software. I have been using the PC version for a couple years and am now forced to use the Mac version. One huge oversight/difference between the two versions is the ability to add Markers while you are actually recording. In the PC version this is accomplished by pressing Alt + M I believe. Unfortunately this is not possible in the Mac version. This absolutely doubles my creation time. Instead of skipping forward in the timeline to my markers and renaming them like in the PC version I'm forced to add the markers on the timeline as I'm watching my recording. Which means I have to watch my recording from the beginning to the end instead of skipping to the markers assigned while recording. PLEASE FIX THIS!

I use the PC version 8 of Camtasia and use the Add Markers button all the time, to add markers during a recording. My feature request is to enable typing a Marker label or comment, while recording. Currently, the only place I can add Marker comments or labels is in Camtasia Studio.

I understand that the Marker is embedded in the single .camrec file, likely on-the-fly, so this could be a technical challenge. By the time I finish typing my Marker label or comment, the comment text would have to be saved somewhere, maybe a second file. A Temporary work-around would be to have an auto-incremented Marker number or timestamp that I can reference. A separate file can have those Marker numbers or timestamps associated with the label text or comments.

This would be a great feature for Camtasia. So, as you add Markers to the Recorder on the Mac version, please consider the same Recorder enhancement for both PC and Mac to enable the Marker labels or comments as I described above. Thanks.

I definitely agree, adding markers while recording in Camtasia Mac would be tremendously helpful. I would use it to mark places where I make a mistake, misspeak etc. so I can edit it out later.
