Adjust Mouse Resolution to Zoomed Area

The snap-to-window feature is great when working on your active desktop but I often find myself trying to take a screen capture within a remote desktop window, or in a virtual machine window where SnagIt sees the entire RDP window as one application.  In that case, snap-to-window doesn't work and I have to draw around a small dialog using the magnifier and try to catch the border at 1-2 pixel resolution.  I feel like a surgeon with big hands doing heart surgery on an infant.  Maybe screen capturing isn't as critical but My OCD wants it to be perfect.  It would be great if I could use a keyboard key to change the mouse pointer resolution to work within the magnified space.  e.g. 1 cm per pixel vs 1 cm per inch, etc.

Hi Paul

I often have similar issues. What seems to work for me when it's desired to be precise is to use the mouse to get the crosshairs roughly where I want them, then release the mouse and use the arrow keys to "nudge" the crosshairs to the pixel perfect spot. Then press the Spacebar to select that spot.

Then I use the mouse again to drag to the opposite corner. Again, to the rough area, then release the mouse and use the arrow keys to nudge the crosshairs to the exact ending spot. Once there, I press the Enter key to finalize the capture.

Cheers... Rick :)
