Adjusting edges for Cut Outs

Is there a way to adjust the size of edges that are applied when a Cut Out is made?
I'm probably overlooking the obvious and have tried to search through existing posts - but to no avail.

I use the cut out a lot, particularly when referencing elongated documents where I need to show header - some middle and footer  - the ripped edges (or similar) are very effective - but a little too harsh.

As a work around I can 'fiddle' with Cut Out and Edges separately but this is probably not the best way to approach this.

As always, and assistance would be appreciated

Edge effect are adjustable. You can also save them as a quick style if you want.

Hi Joe ... picture's great - looks like my wife when I forget to put the dustbins out ... :)

Thanks for the response - I'm OK with adjusting edge effects it's Cut Out Edges that I'd like to adjust and can't see how to adjust the spacing of the gap or the size of the teeth

A one stop Cut Out looks like this

Working in the Editor and "playing" with multiple copies of the image - you can get the following - the edges aren't the same and the image is not exactly cut - but this took about 60 seconds to put together

Ideally - I would like the adjustable edge effect available for Cut Out

Thanks

Hey Andy how’s it going,

I don’t think I have any dustbins around here but if I do I’m going to make sure that I put them out. I don’t want my wife coming around looking at me like that either. Ha ha. Although I might not complain much if she looked that good doing it.

It would be nice if you could alter the settings for cutouts to taste. However, I’ve got a decent workaround if you’re interested in trying it. The image below is the end result.  You can even adjust the settings of the saved quick style after it’s applied.

I threw together a quick video because I think it was the easiest way to demonstrate the technique. I’m not a huge fan of workarounds but sometimes that's all you've got to work with.

That option appears to have disappeared in 13.1. Can you tell me how it is done now please?

Yes, I would like to change the size of the cut out effect also (snag it 2018). Any chance of seeing this in the new feature?
Thanks

Hear, hear.  I would also like to be able to adjust the gap between the two halves of the image after cutting out.  I often have images where the cut out gap is not much smaller than the area I cut out.

Theres a fairly simple workaround for that.
If the canvas is set to Auto-Expand in settings.

Make a rectangular selection of the section you want to move that cuts through the center of the cutout.

Then drag or use the arrow keys to move the selection.Creating a larger gap.
