adobe reader can't print to snagit 10

While Microsoft's Notepad successfully can print to SnagIt 10, my little 3-page PDF can't be printed by Adobe Reader to SnagIt 10.  Yes, I've confirmed that my Reader is the latest version.  Sadly, this is a KEY ability I require on a daily basis.  HELP PLEASE!

Addendum:        There is no error message reported, and Adobe returns from its print dialog box with the belief that the document was printed to SnagIt successfully.  While watching this in side-by-side windows, SnagIt never so much as does even a screen refresh.  It's as though it never receives anything from Adobe.  I guess this implies I need to check Adobe's support site too.

More...  Within Adobe Reader, I printed the PDF file to the Microsoft XPS Document Writer.  This opened a dialogue box to SAVE the document to my drive.  I then opened the file with the native Win 8.1 reader.  Of course, it can successfully print to SnagIt 10, and so I have my PDF in SnagIt for revision...  Still, this is not an efficient process...

Last, I did try to print OTHER pdf's  besides the one that was failing, to no avail.
