I'm in the process of creating advance Intro Animations and Motion Graphics fully built in Camtaisa. From my experience working with very wealth companies they want to push Camtasia to the next level and that is what I plan to showcase but also I plan to share my feedback with techsmith on improving software so that the process becomes easier and more organized.

Who knows maybe one day I will get good enough to work with Techsmith to create custom intros and animations for their software.

Looks quite nice!

Are you planning on generically sharing these with the community at large? Selling them? What?

As rick has pointed out I have been apart of these forms back in 2012 and you don't see any sort of spamming. The video is not only for the forums it is for me to show my clients samples of animations I created hence the reason it has some pricing data but their is not information to contact me in video nor to purchase item.  Also I don't typically charge a flat fee anyway my clients are paying me nearly 2x to 3x more than what is listed in that video per hour so not even realistic of my normal pay. However I figured I would offer them alternative to use pre-built designs to save them money so yes it has pricing data in it but I think you should have been more considerate and ask about intent.

I'm hopeful that the next incarnation of the TechSmith forums will offer an area where folks can share resources and (gasp) even offer to sell things such as this that folks may find interesting and beneficial.

I'm sure there would be many that would be willing to pay for something like this as well as other things that go beyond what Camtasia offers out of the box.

Further, I would hope that such a feature would also offer a way so as to allow others to choose whether to subscribe to the area or not. That way we wouldn't see claims of folks trying to spam us.

To answer your question I would be open to creating some free templates for the community if they are interested in that so that they can see what Camtasia is capable of.

However I would create a separate post for that since the designs I am posting here are more for just showcasing what I created in Camtasia and will likely be used in client projects in near future .

Well Joe,

We learned what Techsmith's view on this is with that Focus whatever person's posts.
I still call view spam on those. If those posts aren't boiler plate hit and run posts than...

At least this poster has participated in the forums and been a member for awhile.

Also per the forum guidelines  it's open season on these type of posts.

I read that as long as they are related to Techsmith products and is not malicious content
it's all good.

Affiliate links related to the post topic ?  Yep. That's ok to from what I read ( don't read) in the forum guidelines.

What I liked about these forums is all  that was pretty much void just by courtesy but not against the guidelines.

Until the guidelines state different I guess we just have to take a deep breath and swallow.
Emails and all.

Hell I work hard on many of my posts to contribute and help if I can but heck, If Techsmith doesn't say it's not  Ok I might as well start making a buck or two.

I could post with related affiliate links all day.  Will I ?  Probably not but I could and it would be Ok per the Forum Guidelines.

This post is not defending self promotion posting or aff linking but merely stating it is what it is and not much we can do but move past (ignore) them or jump in too.

Who ya gonna call...   Not ghost busters on this   >:(

Ah what the heck, you are a long time member.
So I'll apologize for jumping to the wrong conclusion. Had the text transitioned into indicating it was Free, I wouldn't  have thought otherwise.

It took me a little while to figure out how to recreate the transition in Camtasia.
It would be much easier to create something similar in Premiere Pro.
I used Camtasia out of curiosity. I'm not saying its an exact match. But its close.

Regards,Joe

Well that particular transition is not free it was for showcasing what is possible with Camtasia as it may be used in future projects for my existing clients. I mentioned in one of my posts that I would create a separate thread for free templates though. However I agree Premiere pro is much easier to create that affect but the reality is people like simple software like Camtasia and if it can get something similar or close to Adobe they will gravitate to Camtasia .

I think Camtasia needs some new tools to help ease the development of motion graphics so perhaps once I have a free template created in new thread I can breakdown some of the issues I've run into as well for creating custom animations.

Maybe create a video on exactly how we'd integrate your transitions into our version(s) of Camtasia?
Note:  Experts-Exchange is a member site but also sells user developments, for a cut of course. Whether free or for $$, operating a parallel user group expressly for "end-users" give aways or sales, makes a lot of sense. The cost to operate it could be borne by a % of sales which TS would collect for sellers.
i.e.   https://member-mart.techsmith.com

And yes have a rating system, 1 to 5 stars, of what users like about it or don't like about it.

I would likely create a Camtasia library zip file so all you would have to do is import animation or motion graphic into your library.

I just finished creating another new transition called Heaven Transition:

Now that I have at least 2 transitions I will make the 3rd transition as a free for the community download. I will just post it here when the 3rd one is finished and put a note that it is free. I need some time to think up some ideas as I want the 3rd transition to be super cool :)

Sorry for the delay will try releasing free transition within 24 hours. I had a lot of new Camtasia projects so things got delayed a bit.
