After SnagIt (Mac) Capture, Click Pop-Up Notification to Open the Editor

When I capture an image, I get a pop-up notification on my Mac. Clicking it does nothing. For the times that I'd like to go to the editor, it would be great if I could click on that pop-up to get there. (edited spelling)

Hey Robert, thanks for the feedback. Do you have the option to "Preview in Editor" turned off in your capture settings?

I'm having a bit of trouble getting that notification pop-up to display, so just curious what capture settings you have in place when this is occurring.

Thanks!

Hi Jason,I don't have that checked, as I don't always need the editor. Here's the pop-up I'm seeing with each capture:

Hey Robert, thanks for the additional info. So, chances are you have the "Copy to Clipboard" option below that switched on?

And you're saying you'd like the editor to be opened and brought to the foreground when you click the notification?

Hi Jason,
I do have "Copy to Clipboard" switched on and your summary of my enhancement request is spot-on.
Thanks,
Robert

Hey Robert, thanks for the clarification and confirmation. I'll open up a new enhancement ticket which will be reviewed/prioritized by our Technical Product Manager. This sounds like a really nice improvement. We try to tie the notification click to something useful, like opening a URL/application/etc., but we hadn't thought of an actionable destination for the clipboard. And given that this notification only tends to happen when the editor is not going to be foregrounded, this idea makes a lot of sense, so thanks!

Thanks Jason.
It's one of those things I've though of so many times and finally made myself stop to share it.
Thanks to your whole team for making solutions that really work!

Good news! This morning we released version 2019.1.1 which opens the editor when you click the "Copy to Clipboard" system notification.

In the Snagit main menu, choose "Snagit->Check for Updates..." and follow the prompts to install the new version.

Thanks for the idea, Robert!
