Allow defining a project folder

I've been using Camtasia intensively this past week and will be for the next couple of weeks. Then back to typical mundane work.

At the moment, I'm focused on two main projects with many many more to come.

This suggestion deals with having an ability to define a main project folder. My thought is that if this were implemented, a nice place to define it would be the Project Settings.

Here is the pain point this would solve. I've copied all my media related to each project into a folder of its own. So I was in one project and was adding media and massaging things, but I needed to adjust a different project. So I open the second project up and went to add media, but when I did, the "starting point" for the folder was the last place I added media from. So I had to navigate around to get to the alternate folder. And when I return back to the other project, I'll again have to navigate back to where I was before I needed to tweak the other project.

If Camtasia loaded a project as well as the media location, this would basically be seamless. I could open the project, click to add some media and BOOM! No need to navigate to a different folder to see my media.

As always, thanks for listening! Rick :)

This is a great idea. Projects require larger numbers of assets every year. Organizing them is part of the job.

If all your media is contained in 1  folder.................

You can Right Click any media in the media bin. Select Open file location. You're there {:>)

Just drag in what you need.

While that would certainly work on one aspect of the issue, the other aspect is that if we had that default location, it could also be used on the other end where you specify the location and file name.
