I depended on being able to go back to my recent capture tray and find what I needed.  To limit this to only 15, makes this product Very Frustrating to use.  WHY, would you do this????

I loved this program, until this update.  I have used multiple versions as I have used it for many years.  I am NOT a happy camper, now.

Check the library - that is where you should find all your snags. THe 15 is only the most recent

I have, and I do not see any of my snags, except for the one I took today.  I think that since I am (at work) in a virtualized environment, that it doesn't keep this record.

Where did you save them to? If they were on the recents bar they exist somewhere (unless you deleted them outside the program) Search your hard drive  for the .SNAG ending if that is what you used to save them. The default in windows is the DOCUMENTS / SNAGIT folder. Also check the datastore folder and load any SNAG files you find and you can do several at a time. If you get some such as the defaults, just close them in the editor
The location of the  datastore folder ... unless you changed it as I did is
C:\Users\YOUR-LOGIN\AppData\Local\TechSmith\Snagit\DataStore

Hey Techsmith, in these days of SSDs for programs and HDDs for data (or even a network share or cloud) please could you stop defaulting stuff to the user's app-data store.  It's SO 2001 :)  I know you can change it, but really.....,...

It is odd that we don't get at least today's in the tray.

OR,  put a > symbol at the end that loads the next 15, and the next etc.  And a < button that takes you back to the beginning.

Full disclosure here: I very seldom need to access the library and I regularly clear my tray.

Having said that, one thing that nails me consistently when I *DO* open the library is the niggling little fact that it never opens to today's captures. I've always found that to be odd behavior. I don't use it enough to note that maybe it's opening to the last place I looked when I opened it or what. But it always throws me for a loop when I have to begin navigating that date folder tree to locate recent things.

Maybe that's what is happening here?

Cheers... Rick :)

Seldom use it myself either.  Maybe once a month.  And most of what I use it for would be solved with those forward / back arrow heads.  Just occasionally I need to go back a long way but TBH 90 days is more than enough.  It's too time consuming to tag everything, so you get to the point where it's quicker to recreate than scroll through thousands of images
