Allow SnagIt to import/load image from ScreenCast

I realize that you can share an image in SnagIt to Screencast - but I'd like to see a flow in the other direction.  You ought to be able to use File-Import and then view thumbnails from your Screencast account and pull them into your project.  This would make screencast function as a clipboard of sorts - could be very useful.  (Would also be a nice option when working with Fuse on your mobile phone when you can't connect to same network as laptop with QR code, etc.)

Hi and thanks for submitting your idea/feature request!
As outlined in our New Community Processes post, feature requests are open to voting up through the 1st of the month, where we will then tally the votes and present the findings to our product teams. To ensure we have the most accurate data, on the 1st of the month we will be locking the threads that were listed in the Feature Request Round-up that was posted on the 15th. Once we have reviewed the submitted feature requests, our product team(s) may respond to the request, and if that is the case then that thread will then be unlocked for further discussion.

In the event that your idea is not selected for a response feel free to resubmit the idea and share it with your colleagues to garner as much exposure as possible!

Thank you again for your idea and we look forward to hearing more from you!

Hi Scott and Jack!

Interesting idea for sure. I wondering what the main uses you'd have for it would be.

Would you be using Screencast as a cloud library of sorts?
Would you keep images up on Screencast while you're working on them, but keep them private until you are done with them?
Or is this more that you'd want to update some published content?

I would say that my main use case revolves around frequently sharing things on screencast - and later wanting to pull then back in to Snagit's editor to combine with other images.  I may or may not have the "original" image at hand locally.  So yes, screencast as a cloud library of sorts.   And I guess in general I treat screencast URLs as private enough until I give them to someone else.

So not so much update published content - but treat already-published content as source material for new content.

That's very helpful. I've definitely been in that spot before. Thanks for the info.
