I want to alter the Default Text Box with a default Black Border and Black Text Color.

The default puke green is annoying, and would like to not have to constantly change the color(s).

Note that once you have altered the defaults to become formatted as you want, you are able to save them to Quick Styles for easy re-use.

Cheers... Rick :)

What tool are you using to create text?

When I use the "Text" tool I don't get any border and the text is always black.

If using "Callouts" than that's different.

Do as Rick states by changing the Properties of a Callout and then saving to the Quick Styles.

Than just select your customized callout to do your text.

P.S. Usually the last callout you use will be whats selected/retained when you open the callouts tool again
