An auto-insert to WORD Feature I find missing

Firstly Thankyou for making this wonderful product.

SNAGIT 2020: Windows or Mac.

When doing insert of image capture to WORD, where is the option to automatically insert a NEW LINE.

Without that when doing many small sized captures the pics are stuck/glued to each other and need to go to each individually.

So after you insert let us say 70-100 pics going and fishing for the breaks is a pain. A simple Inseret a NEWLINE (Yes/No) option would be appreciated. That way the original functionality is also preserved.

The program SNAGIT 2020 inserts at the CURSOR which is great for targeted insert.
When I do an insert to word, there should be an option to weather insert a NEWLINE (equivalent of 2 ENTER keys) so that I don't need to manually separate them when I archive it for myself.

I take 80-100 screenshots when installing/repairing softwares or to record problems with machines, so when you have to either switch between SNAGIT and WORD everytime to insert a NEWLINE ( a separation of single blank line between the image captures ) or I let them stick and then before finally saving the file do a complete image separation.

Another method could be to let all captures flow into SNAGIT editor and t hen I can do a mass selection (or even a single one) and they autoinsert to WORD directly from the editor.

Was thinking to suggest this since. the first day started to use the software.

I like your idea in general, but I would prefer to specify the keystroke that is auto-entered after the SnagIT Share-to-Word feature.  I don't always want a new line (LF or CR).

I would prefer to have several options:
  1. None
  2. CR
  3. TAB
  4. CR then Horizontal Line then CR
  5. Custom keystroke
I would prefer to be prompted for the keystroke/separator when I click the Share-to-Word option, with the default being the last choice I made so that all I need to do is press RETURN to execute.

Although the feature would be nice indeed, and I have voted for it, it needs to be pointed out that this very feature has been sorely missing from Word FOREVER, and that Microsoft is the real culprit.

Please explain on the missing from WORD.

I really didn't catch it. I thought SNAGIT plug-in/add-on would be doing it and not WORD.

@JL1,
it needs to be pointed out that this very feature has been sorely missing from Word FOREVER, and that Microsoft is the real culprit.

As the sender, it is the responsibility of SnagIT to send to Word what it wants to be inserted.
It is not MS Word's fault -- it is simply inserting what it was given.

Coming from the same when you use WORD insert on Windows/MAC

1.     I opened word

2.     Named the file and saved it (local or OneDrive or anywhere)

3.     Minimized the WORD window.

Then I start SNAGing the captures and all inserts are done to WORD and WORD window never maximizes or opens/shows.

Do the same on MAC and ALWAYS I need to minimize the word window (or open it in a separate screen) because at insert the WORD Window on MacOS returns to original size.

Hello there, perhaps this can help:

Open a table in Word and insert from SnagIt each image in a cell, Word automatically will dimension the cell size and you can continue inserting in the row or column that you want. It helps me a lot when I am doing short manuals.

Hi,

We just shipped 2020.1.4 for mac and now when you share to Word, we add a few line breaks in between your images.
